About the Role

As the first dedicated Product Designer, you will shape the end-user experience for our software, which empowers educators to implement mastery-based instructional models. You will work closely with founders and senior leadership to build our design operation from the ground up, taking products from initial concepts to refined, user-friendly interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Refine end-to-end user experience by mapping teacher, student, and administrator journeys.
  • Define information architecture and design intuitive product paths.
  • Create wireframes and high-fidelity, clickable prototypes to validate flows before development.
  • Build and maintain a documented design system and component library.
  • Establish design best practices and mature the internal design operation.

Requirements

  • Ability to execute end-to-end design from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Strong proficiency in information architecture and design systems.
  • Ability to write clear, empathetic interface copy.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, cognitive science principles, and real-world technical constraints.
  • Passion for the mission of empowering educators and students.

  • $130,000 - $160,000 per year
