About the Role
Collective Health is transforming healthcare benefits engagement through technology, service, and user experience design. This role involves managing the core Claims processing system, collaborating with stakeholders, executing the technical roadmap, and driving AI/Agentic development.
Responsibilities
- Manage the core Claims processing system, taking full ownership of all development, testing, and maintenance cycles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the Claims platform and automate efficient processes.
- Define, prioritize, and manage the technical claims roadmap in partnership with Product teams.
- Lead the team's adoption of AI-powered developer tools and drive architectural decisions for building AI-native, Agentic solutions.
- Guide the team in building scalable, cloud-native backend services and integrations using Java/Spring Cloud, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and BRMS.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience directly managing engineering teams.
- Proven experience working in the Healthcare Payer or Provider domain.
- Familiarity with claims adjudication, partner integrations, and healthcare payments is highly preferred.
- Well-versed with the Agile development lifecycle.
- Strong track record of building, launching, and maintaining complex, data-intensive systems.
- Working knowledge of AI coding and Agentic processes.
- Foundational understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical architecture discussions with business needs.

- $200,000—$250,000 USD (San Francisco, CA)
- $160,000—$200,000 USD (Lehi, UT)
- $176,000—$220,000 USD (Plano, TX)
