About the Role
Wilson Elser's San Francisco office is seeking a Catastrophic Loss and General Liability Defense Associate to join a dynamic national coordinating counsel team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a close relationship with a national client and advance your career in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end as part of a team.
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in California.
- 4+ years of civil defense experience.
- Experience in premises liability, catastrophic loss, and general liability is ideal.
- Premises and hospital security experience is a plus.
- Dispositive motion practice experience.
- Superior analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Legal project management experience is helpful.
