About the Role

As a Product Manager at Beacon, you will work closely with the Director of Product Management to drive execution across our financial products. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll help launch new features, improve existing experiences, coordinate with partners, analyze performance, and play a key role in bringing new products and capabilities to market. You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio including Canadian banking infrastructure, remittance and bill payments products, wallets and account management, strategic partnerships and integrations, and consumer and business banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own one or multiple problem spaces (e.g., Beacon Money Account, remittances, India bill pay, or Beacon Business) and define clear product outcomes, success metrics, and roadmap.
  • Write product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design to clarify requirements and unblock execution.
  • Coordinate sprint activities, release readiness, testing, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Track action items to ensure timely execution across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Design, Growth, and Customer Support on go-to-market, positioning, pricing, and lifecycle journeys.
  • Ensure every launch has a sharp narrative and measurable impact.
  • Use data to prioritize ruthlessly: define and track KPIs, run A/B tests, and iterate quickly based on performance and qualitative feedback.
  • Help identify and evaluate new features, products, and partnership opportunities.
  • Stay on top of competitor offerings and regulatory/market developments in fintech, cross-border payments, and newcomer banking to inform product strategy.
  • Collaborate with banks, payment providers, and fintech partners to drive product initiatives.
  • Oversee integration tasks, issue resolution, and partner deliverables.
  • Contribute to partner selection, implementation, and ongoing relationship management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Product Management experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable working closely with Engineering and Design teams in an agile/semi-agile product development process across time zones and remote employees.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, or platform products.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and data extraction using SQL and Metabase.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team member who values feedback and an environment of continuous improvement, accountability, and ownership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas of improvement post product launch.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and “0→1” building; enjoy startup speed, constraints, and wearing multiple hats.
  • Experience working with operationally intensive products.
  • Prefers autonomy but doesn’t hesitate to ask for guidance when needed.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, or product workflows.
