About the Role
The Senior Marketing Analyst provides proactive, actionable, analytical support and business insight to the marketing department and stakeholders. This role significantly impacts Meridian’s marketing strategy by segmenting, deploying, and executing communication for marketing campaigns, product launches, and research. The Senior Marketing Analyst acts as a subject matter expert, presenting complex analytical material concisely and interpreting insights meaningfully for management and partners. The role supports the advancement of analytics, data management, processes, and tools to achieve strategic goals and improve business profitability. In partnership with colleagues, this role will maintain existing marketing reporting and improve processes through AI and automation integration.
Responsibilities
- Measure the effectiveness of Marketing tactics (paid, organic, brand, email, website, social etc.) and partner with the marketing team to set goals, measure results, and share actionable insights.
- Build and develop models to accelerate marketing’s long-term strategic plans.
- Analyze, prepare, and present scheduled reports (key business performance indicators, dashboards) and ad hoc reports for the marketing team.
- Lead the development of management reporting that empowers leaders to take action by converting data into meaningful information that identifies issues, opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across MCU departments (Enterprise Analytics & Data, Data Governance and Culture, Member Experience Services, and Sales) to streamline communication, gather data, define terms, and consolidate information into a centralized source for segmentation and reporting.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis of industry and consumer behavior trends to identify revenue opportunities and grow the capital base.
- Assist with program development by collecting, analyzing, and collating Member and prospect information to ensure personalized solutions and long-term Member value.
- Analyze prospect and Member-level information to determine campaign effectiveness and generate profitability-enhancing strategies.
- Network with individuals within the Enterprise Analytics and Data community and at industry events to stay updated on new solutions, resources, and analytical techniques.
- Employ Marketing experiments, test-and-learns, and A-B testing to improve Member experience and increase KPIs.
- Identify key business growth opportunities by profiling the existing Member base and assessing emerging needs through industry research and competitive analysis.
- Leverage diverse marketing deployment platforms (e.g., Acoustic, Dynamics, Soapbox, internal banking systems, Google, Meta) to scope, segment, and prepare audience lists, ensuring accurate system integration and deployments.
- Verify data quality, personalization, and quality execution across all transactional and Marketing communications and journeys, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (CASL & PII).
- Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to develop models such as product profitability or propensity models.
- Support the improvement of marketing attribution using tools such as marketing mix modeling and multi-touch attribution.
- Explain complex information and concepts to different audiences, including professionals, in a manner tailored to the audience.
- Coordinate the acquisition of data from various sources and apply analytical skills to convert data into meaningful information.
- Leverage technology to streamline processes, tools, and analysis, and seek opportunities to use AI and automation tools to increase department efficiency.
- Support CRM in partnership with Centre of Excellence on future enhancements and capabilities.
- Review key marketing strategies to collect requirements and design solutions with marketing operations, IT, and Digital teams, ensuring data integration into platforms like CRM (Dynamics 365) for marketing journeys, processes, and campaign measurement.
- Conduct User Acceptance (UAT) and Post-Production testing in partnership with Marketing Operations to ensure proposed solutions function as intended.

- Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages including Excel, Power BI and SAS.
- Working experience in digital analytics using Google Analytics, and Data Studio.
- Expert in diverse marketing deployment platforms (e.g., Acoustic, Dynamics, Soapbox, Google, Meta).
- Demonstrated experience working in scripting languages such as Python or R, VBA, to set up automation and integrations is considered an asset.
- Experience with low/no code tools like the Microsoft Power Platform and generative AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot is considered an asset.

Salary/Compensations
- $59,800.00 to $89,800.00 CAD
