About the Role

Clay is seeking a foundational Partnerships hire to build and scale its Private Equity (PE) partnerships motion from the ground up. This role focuses on creating repeatable infrastructure for PE firm entry, portfolio activation, and value demonstration at scale, bridging the gap between business development and portfolio value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Map and prioritize the PE landscape, identifying firms, funds, and portfolios aligned with Clay's GTM value.
  • Build relationships with Operating Partners and Value Creation teams to understand fund priorities and timing.
  • Develop Clay's PE-specific narrative and materials, including decks, pilot frameworks, and ROI overviews.
  • Design portfolio entry models such as pilots, GTM diagnostics, and enablement cohorts.
  • Convert PE relationships into structured engagement and portfolio introductions.
  • Coordinate with GTM Engineering, Enterprise, RevOps, and Legal on pilots and commercial terms.
  • Design and execute scaled activation programs like webinars, cohorts, office hours, and workshops.
  • Build repeatable infrastructure to drive adoption with minimal 1:1 interaction.
  • Define portfolio-level success metrics tied to PE value creation, including adoption, time-to-value, expansion, ARR growth, and GTM efficiency.
  • Convert outcomes into executive-ready narratives, such as ROI summaries, impact reports, and board-level readouts.
  • Gather structured feedback and represent PE needs to Product, Partnerships, and GTM teams.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS partnerships, program management, GTM strategy, value creation, consulting, or revenue operations.
  • Experience working with or presenting to Private Equity Operating Partners, Value Creation teams, or portfolio executives.
  • Enjoy building scalable programs and systems, not bespoke 1:1 solutions.
  • Possess strong systems thinking and comfort designing workflows that reduce manual work.
  • Fluent in translating technical capabilities into business and financial impact.
  • Strong bias toward measuring what matters (adoption, ARR, efficiency, outcomes).
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building new motions from scratch.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior executives and internal stakeholders.

Experience Level

  • 6-10+ years

Benefits

  • All employees can work for free with world-class coaches who specialize in creativity, management, and more.
