About the Role
As a Product Designer at Method, you will deliver a consumer-grade user experience to a domain typically starved of great design. You will take full ownership and maintain a high bar for usability and craft, even in the face of complexity or urgency. Experimenting with new tools to accelerate work and prototyping in code, often shipping code directly, is part of your day-to-day. Product Designers work in cross-functional teams spanning Product Engineers and Mission Operations to take products from concept to delivery. This role calls for someone who thrives in a high-ownership, high-speed environment.
Responsibilities
- Design user-oriented, high-craft product experiences.
- Take end-to-end ownership of your product surfaces, delivering at a high bar even in the face of complexity or urgency.
- Prototype at speed while maintaining quality.
- Confidently wield tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Design, and are willing to get into code to deliver.
- Understand and represent the user, with an emphasis on delivering the user outcome with extreme workflow clarity.
- Contribute flexibly across a large surface area, from whiteboard drawings to write-ups to Figma to code.
- Ability to occasionally wear a PM hat and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Partner and coach other members of the team to help build design intuition and acceleration throughout the company.
Requirements
- An eye for craft and a history of delivering beautiful, polished work.
- Ability to handle technical complexity, bringing simplicity to a complex domain.
- Comfortable in Figma and the latest generation of coding tools for prototyping, iterating, and shipping.
- A systems thinker, leveraging existing platform norms and interested in creating new components and patterns.
- Ability to move fast and prototype live or in hours, not days.
- Ability to get up to speed quickly in new domains.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to facilitate collaboration in a distributed team.
- Able to independently manage project scopes and resolve issues autonomously.
