About the Role

Guidehouse is developing a statewide Integrated Energy Data Resource (IEDR), a secure, centralized energy data platform. This platform collects, integrates, and provides authorized access to utility customer and energy system data, enabling stakeholders to access standardized energy data for analytics, planning, and innovation. The initiative involves collaboration across multiple utilities and industry partners in NY state to standardize foundational data sets across key workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize and translate IEDR-related NYSERDA requirements for internal stakeholder consumption.
  • Confirm data availability for each IEDR data set approved during the engagement period.
  • Create data process flow for each IEDR data set.
  • Document business requirements for each IEDR data set.
  • Document success criteria for each IEDR data set.
  • Work with client data owners to collect and deliver IEDR use case relevant sample data files to NYSERDA.
  • Identify the data source, data owner, and current data processing/transformation methods.
  • Work with Guidehouse team members and client's data solution team/Network Engineers to document technical requirements.
  • Map data from source to target, including data transformations.
  • Analyze data and document gaps and quality issues.
  • Support data modeling activities.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen; no sponsorship available.
  • Currently reside in the contiguous United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Good engineering knowledge of how power companies manage their grid and analyze capacity needs.
  • Ability to build bridges between business, engineering, and IT.
  • Understanding of the electric grid, including connectivity between grid assets and data/parameters associated with grid assets.
  • Understanding of utility hosting capacity maps and load capacity analysis.
  • Familiarity with agile development cycle and source to target mapping.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to create PPT slides that turn complex information into a narrative story for various audiences.
  • Ability to comfortably work in and present Excel files.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and drive flow of work.

Salary/Compensations

  • $122,000.00-$204,000.00
