About the Role

Marc Jacobs International seeks a Vice President, Finance to lead the Global Financial Planning & Analysis team at its New York City headquarters. This role focuses on forecasting, expense controlling, and P&L analysis, with a particular emphasis on the US Commercial business and HQ departments. The position offers global impact and management opportunities within the Marc Jacobs global HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage financial forecasts including P&L, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  • Drive the annual financial operating plan cycle, including target setting, guideline creation, and managing calendar milestones.
  • Refine and align global sales reporting and work with stakeholders to develop and track KPIs.
  • Construct and oversee the long-range strategic planning model in partnership with international regions and HQ departments.
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure timely month-end close and forecasting accuracy.
  • Report monthly results to department leaders and serve as the primary contact for analysis.
  • Create and challenge Payroll and OpEx budgets for HQ departments and retail locations.
  • Prepare materials for Board meetings and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to inform key decisions, such as global pricing, store locations, or potential capital expenditures.

Requirements

  • BS/Masters in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or business controlling.
  • Highly skilled in active observation, root cause analysis, and written/oral communication.
  • Experience managing a team, including recruiting and developing junior talent.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and general understanding of ERP, general ledger, business intelligence tools, and consolidation tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain integrity throughout work product, balancing attention to detail with a connection to the big picture.
  • Fashion/retail industry experience preferred.
