About the Role
The Database Marketing Analyst accelerates business growth by managing data, optimizing marketing technology, and refining email strategies. This role centralizes email operations, streamlines governance, and enhances marketing program performance through cross-functional collaboration with marketing automation teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing subscriber databases, maintaining list hygiene, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Building and maintaining reports to benchmark and measure opt-out rates, invalid/inactive email address trends, and sender score metrics.
- Managing merge record processes and presenting findings in a quarterly scorecard to drive strategic actions for database health and deliverability improvements.
- Querying and building target lists based on customer behavior, demographics, or purchase history for targeted email campaigns.
- Collaborating with marketing and product management to maintain current personas for targeted audience engagement.
- Developing criteria across systems to build robust personas reflecting the go-to-market strategy.
- Tracking metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates to measure email strategy success.
- Analyzing email element performance and using insights to optimize messaging and deliverability.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with statistical programming (Python or R) is highly preferred.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) is highly preferred.
- Marketo experience is preferred.
- Strong capability in A/B testing, data modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Ability to translate raw data into actionable marketing strategies.
- Ability to present complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders and marketing teams.
