About the Role
As a Manager, Product Design at Fliff, you will lead and mentor a team of product designers while remaining an active, hands-on practitioner. You will guide the product's UX, ensuring it meets player needs and aligns with Fliff's unique style. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, linking design efforts to daily business operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead design on key initiatives, journey mapping, wireframes, and UI.
- Translate complex problems into intuitive player flows.
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management to shape product development.
- Grow the design system to improve team efficiency and consistency.
- Manage a team of product designers, supporting their growth through 1:1s, feedback, and discussions.
- Align designer strengths with appropriate squads and priorities.
- Establish design workflows and cross-functional handoff processes to enhance team efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, elevating the team's design craft.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and shipping customer-facing mobile products.
- Proven track record of mentoring designers, acting as a lead, or managing small teams.
- Exceptional strength in both UX and visual craft, with a portfolio demonstrating attention to detail.
- Ability to approach design from a business perspective and translate strategy into elegant digital solutions.
- Demonstrated success in building, evolving, and scaling robust design systems.
- High autonomy and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design decisions to stakeholders.
- Deep curiosity about customers and familiarity with Fliff’s product vertical mechanics.
- High proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, Notion, and Jira.
