About the Role

The Vehicle Operations Supervisor role provides leadership and administrative support to Vehicle Service Associates (VSAs), focusing on strengthening VSA productivity through improved supervision and workflow management. This role ensures objectives are met through team execution of day-to-day tasks, including managing VSA and Transporter productivity KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Host huddles to communicate vehicle priorities and daily goals for employees
  • Ensure the location is set up for success and employees have necessary supplies and cleaning products
  • Support with lot set-up to ensure efficient flow of vehicles
  • Observe VSA operations, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and quality of work via random car audits
  • Ensure "Conveyor Belt" VSAs effectively select and transport vehicles; provide guidance on areas for improvement or shifts in vehicle class priorities
  • Monitor radio for additional requests for support from Vehicle Ops staff
  • Check daily productivity levels of each employee, highlighting strong performance and providing live coaching to poor performers
  • Ensure clean pumps, lot, storage, and supplies as needed; maintain a clean and organized Conveyor Belt role
  • Host training for newly introduced standards of work in coordination with Vehicle Ops Managers / GMs and support with onboarding

Requirements

  • Must be 20 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4+ years in an operations role, preferably with increased responsibility
  • Working knowledge of operational / maintenance logistics or transportation
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Ability to collaborate between interdepartmental teams
  • Strong time management skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, ability to quickly change direction and focus
  • Self-starter with ability to work autonomously
  • Able to work in inclement weather outdoors
  • Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Computer literate with strong keyboarding skills
  • Ability to manage, develop and motivate staff, including process improvement

Salary/Compensations

  • $29.00 per hour
  • Overtime Pay: Eligible
  • Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)
  • Sick Pay: Granted Up to 48 hours
  • Profit Sharing: Eligible
