About the Role

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining all incoming and outgoing inventory for the department, ensuring raw materials and produce are available for production while maintaining cost-efficiency and budget adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date department inventory
  • Collaborate with receivers to ensure lines are received and discrepancies resolved
  • Ensure accurate shipping of purchase and transfer orders
  • Utilize handheld scanners and AX software to manage inventory
  • Coach and train staff on inventory best practices
  • Compile and publish inventory reports
  • Manage inventory organization and labeling systems
  • Partner with leadership to resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Oversee regular cycle counts and facilitate year-end audits
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations
  • Execute accurate product write-offs following established SOPs
  • Oversee FIFO best practices
  • Ensure handling and storage compliance for organic products
  • Work with Operations to optimize picking locations
  • Monitor and recall inventory stock and execute 3rd party logistics
  • Maintain storage and arrange pick-ups for the black pot program
  • Support shipping of TDG for Ground, Air, and Ocean orders
  • Order CA and QC labels
  • Monitor sales orders to support prep list creation
  • Monitor inventory of samples and perfumes
  • Support fulfillment of PR orders
  • Receive Transfer Orders from Distro
  • Collaborate with Order Desk to resolve oversold or out-of-stock items
  • Provide feedback on potential quality concerns
  • Set and review pick location minimums and maximums
  • Support UA testing of OMS/WMS inventory tools

Requirements

  • Current Lush employee
  • Minimum 1 year in current role
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as AX/D365
  • Ability to perform physical work for 8-hour shifts, including standing for long durations, bending, pulling, and pushing
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices
  • Ability to compile basic reports for analysis
  • Ability to investigate and problem-solve variances
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics
  • Proficiency in email, MS Office suite, and Google programs
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance
  • Comfortable providing and receiving feedback
  • Commitment to health and safety regulations
  • Commitment to quality and manufacturing practices
  • Ability to work in a seasonal, high-pressure production environment
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
