About the Role

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all production activities to ensure vessel compliance and timely, within-budget project completion. It serves as the key link between engineering and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, including best working practices and housekeeping for an engineering environment.
  • Ensure compliance of the UBTC fleet of vessels through effective planning.
  • Plan tasks for Vessel Appearance teams, days and nights, to maintain vessel appearance.
  • Ensure maximum vessel availability for customers while maintaining compliance and high appearance standards.
  • Lead and motivate production controllers, delegate tasks, and provide training.
  • Develop KPIs to identify focus areas and drive improvements and efficiencies in Engineering and Vessel Appearance teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure high-priority defects are planned into work packs and cleared within 30 days.
  • Assist with general engineering departmental functions, including holiday cover for the Engineering support team, Centrik, and the Stock System.
  • Act as a role model and champion of company values.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team, and business processes, environmental standards, and overall business performance, focusing on safety, quality, and customer experience.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests from the HOD and senior management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Production Controller or in a planning role within the transport sector.
  • Marine engineering experience or knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the management of ISM compliance.
  • Familiarity with the IMO High Speed Craft Code.
  • Computer literate.
