About the Role

Boutique San Francisco law firm specializing in representing public entities is looking for a junior to mid-level associate. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases, representing public entity clients in both state and federal court. The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Manage busy caseload with minimal supervision
Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs
Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
Communicate and collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Maintain positive client relationships regarding case assessment, investigation, discovery, and litigation developments

Requirements

Completion of a Juris Doctor
Admitted to the California Bar
1-7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent research and analytical abilities
Trial experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
