About the Role

Visa is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and passionate Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Planning, Operations to join the North America Enablers, Merchants and Fintech team (EMF). This role will drive strategic initiatives and sales operations to support EMF sales leadership. Success requires combining strategic thinking with hands-on ownership and execution of complex projects. The person in this role will apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive the EMF organization’s priorities. They will build strong cross-functional relationships to influence outcomes, advocate for EMF and get things done. They will be curious and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with a high-performing team. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of the team. The Strategy & BPO function leads business operations, business planning, sales enablement, culture, activations and strategy for the EMF team. The incoming candidate will closely collaborate with a wide breadth of cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Sales Enablement & Analytics, Finance, Marketing, NA Operations, as well as senior leadership across the EMF organization to execute on operational and strategic priorities of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, Strategy & BPO to lead operational activities and strategic initiatives for the EMF team
  • Develop and enhance processes and tools to optimize business operations and improve efficiency of the team
  • Own the sales planning strategy and sales performance management process across our OKRs and scorecard, in partnership with the team, across our CRM tool (Microsoft Dynamics) and our reporting tools (Sales Hub, PowerBI)
  • Support EMF leadership in ad hoc strategic initiatives including developing client-facing presentations, sponsorship and hospitality engagements, solving business challenges
  • Develop and influence strategy and execution for EMF’s strategic initiatives, ranging from EMF-hosted client events, to unlocking EMF-specific sales challenges, to identifying EMF’s paths to increase revenue realization with our clients

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 6+ years of work experience in some of the following areas: sales operations, consulting, business development, strategy, event planning and management, or content creation and presentation development
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field and/or MBA
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Self-starter willing to learn new things to creatively solve business problems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Project management skills with the ability to follow through on strategies to drive decisions and deliver tangible business results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective partnerships with stakeholders across the organization
  • Demonstrated collaborator and a natural team player with exemplary organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Dynamics
