About the Role

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all sanitation standards are exceeded.
• Ability to work in warm (<30 Celsius) or cold environments (0-4 Celsius).
• Comfortable working with raw meat; Chicken.
• Able to stand for 8 or 10 hours and complete physically repetitive labour in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work with chemicals and wear protective personal equipment.
• Detail oriented.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Execute day-to-day activities including but not limited to, dis-assembly, cleaning, sanitizing, visually inspecting and reassembly of equipment.

Requirements

• Able to read, write and comprehend English proficiently.
• Comfortable working with chemicals.
• Able to crouch, bend, twist, kneel and navigate the plant.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Able to work in indoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Be familiar with lock out and tag out of equipment during sanitization.
• Able to work in smaller and confined spaces.
• Able to work with large power hoses and facility equipment weighing up to 60lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• 18 years or older.
