About the Role
The Really Great Teacher Company is seeking qualified, South Africa-based English teachers to teach young learners online. This role offers flexibility, remote work, and the opportunity to earn in USD.
Responsibilities
- Teach young learners online.
- Conduct short, punchy 25-minute classes.
- Build genuine relationships with regular students.
- Distribute teaching hours according to a self-determined schedule.
- Provide instruction in English to young learners aged 4-16.
Requirements
- Completed National Diploma (tertiary) in any field.
- Accredited 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience.
- Clear, effective spoken English.
- Consistent weekly availability.
- Must be based in South Africa.
- Computer: Intel® Core™ i5 or higher, 8GB RAM minimum.
- Internet: Fibre connection, 20 Mbps up/down via LAN cable.
- Backup Power: UPS with 4–5 hours battery life.
- Audio/Video: Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam.
