About the Role
Navan is seeking a Manager of Commercial Sales to develop and scale a team of Commercial Account Executives. This role is crucial for expanding into a $38B+ market in the travel & expense space, driving revenue through prospecting and execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hyper-growth environment and possess outbound sales leadership experience in a disruptive industry.
Responsibilities
- Build and engage a team of exceptional Commercial Account Executives.
- Instill sound pipeline generation practices that result in meetings set and quality conversions.
- Identify, qualify, and hire a team aligned with the company vision and mission.
- Accurately forecast and deliver on monthly/quarterly sales revenue targets.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Navan products and value propositions.
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Oversee day-to-day AE activity, setting clear expectations and managing performance goals.
- Provide and receive feedback thoughtfully to develop the team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a direct sales leader/manager in a technology company.
- 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive (AE) individual contributor in the Commercial/Mid-Market.
- Proven experience recruiting and developing top talent.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets both individually and with a team.
- Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
- Experience using Salesforce for accurate forecasting.
- Experience in hiring and training talent at scale.
- Ability to function in a 'Player/Coach' capacity.
