About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an LMSW who wants to gain strong outpatient experience, receive structured supervision, work with a collaborative team, and progress toward LCSW licensure. You’ll join a team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and clinical leaders committed to helping you succeed.
Responsibilities
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and intake sessions
- Providing individual therapy, family support, and counseling services under supervision
- Participating in treatment planning with senior clinicians
- Supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Coordinating care with schools, providers, and community resources
- Helping clients navigate support systems and access services
- Maintaining timely documentation in EMR systems
- Participating in case reviews, supervision meetings, and team collaboration
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- LMSW license in New York State, or clear eligibility to obtain it
- Internship, practicum, or early clinical experience in mental health, community, school, hospital, or related settings
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn EMR systems and modern workflows
- 1+ year of related experience (preferred)
- Exposure to CBT, DBT-informed, trauma-informed, or solution-focused therapy (preferred)
- Bilingual / multilingual abilities (preferred)
- Clear interest in pursuing LCSW licensure (preferred)
