About the Role
As a Senior Developer on the BTP Metering & Reporting team, you'll architect and build cloud-native services that measure, track, and report product usage at scale, shaping the evolution of SAP's platform and its consumption-based business model.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build cloud-native services that measure, track, and report product usage at scale.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex backend services and REST APIs in Java and Go.
- Drive technology choices and define architectural patterns.
- Mentor engineers.
- Own features end-to-end, from requirements shaping through deployment and production operations.
- Actively contribute to the long-term platform roadmap.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend development experience.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring (MVC / Boot).
- Hands-on Go experience is ideal.
- Track record of leading technical decisions, including defining service architectures, evaluating trade-offs, and driving solutions from design to production.
- Strong cloud and infrastructure experience with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced SQL and data modelling skills, with experience optimizing queries and data pipelines at scale.
- Ability to make complex systems understandable.
