About the Role
The Life Science and Healthcare Relationship Management role is responsible for acquiring, orchestrating, and growing entire client and ecosystem relationships. This includes deepening C-suite relationships, cross-selling the FCB platform, and orchestrating cross-functional SVB teams to optimize the client experience. The position focuses on new business development, expanding existing relationships, and originating, advising on, and negotiating financing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary relationship management contact for a large portfolio of clients, identifying needs and structuring customized solutions.
- Ensure high-quality products, services, and platforms are available to clients.
- Leverage knowledge of core banking products, platforms, and services to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Drive and lead industry events to cultivate an external network.
- Generate and foster a strong network of referral partners and external sources.
- Position, recommend, advise, originate, and negotiate credit and financing solutions.
- Provide strategic insights aligned with client needs and market trends.
- Lead team interactions with key cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with appropriate business units to achieve success drivers and corporate goals.
- Mentor and guide team members to develop their skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Relationship Management experience OR High School or GED plus 6 years of Relationship Management experience.
- 4 years of experience in Commercial banking, venture capital, or Relationship Management and/or industry-specific knowledge in life sciences/healthcare.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills.
- Good closing skills.
- Strong focus and ownership on the overall client experience.
- Ability to build and maintain a network of business relationships, including executive management of clients, prospects, and other referral sources.
