About the Role
Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking qualified part-time sports therapists/physiotherapists to join their Cat 1 Academy Medical Department, providing weekly match-day medical provision for academy players.
Responsibilities
- Assessing acute injuries and managing pitch-side injuries within clinical scope and qualification.
- Providing flexible commitment for unsocial hours, weekends, and evenings.
- Supporting and reporting to Academy Physiotherapists and Head of Academy Medical.
- Ensuring coverage of a set number of fixtures/sessions per month.
- Following established protocols and procedures at the academy.
- Promoting and supporting all members and policies of the Medical Department.
- Performing other duties appropriate to the skills and experience of the position holder.
- Fulfilling additional duties as required by the line manager.
- Upholding and promoting Club policies, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Equal Opportunities.
Requirements
- BSc Physiotherapy degree, BSc Sports Therapy degree, or equivalent.
- FA Level 5 ATMIFF (preferred).
- FA Level 4 ITMIFF (accepted).
- Equivalent trauma courses (e.g., UEFA pitch-side trauma course, RFU PHICIS Level 3).
- Experience in an MSK setting.
- Experience working in a professional sporting environment.
- Indemnity through professional registration.
- Undergoing relevant security checks, including a comprehensive background check and Enhanced DBS.
