About the Role
Anaplan is seeking an entrepreneurial and highly strategic VP, Global Partner Strategic Growth to lead the incubation of new partner growth motions, build innovative global partnerships and strategies, and translate them into go-to-market motions executed through regional partner sales teams. This highly visible, global role within a leading SaaS cloud company offers the opportunity to build a high-performing global team from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Define, build, and set the strategic vision for next-generation partnerships, including Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Data Cloud/AI partners, ISVs, and Managed Services SIs.
- Identify emerging market trends to design, incubate, and pilot new partner motions, ensuring the organization can pivot quickly.
- Lead the development, structuring, and execution of Anaplan’s Partner Apps program to drive platform extensibility and new revenue streams.
- Conceptualize and pilot new SI partnership frameworks and commercial motions, particularly targeting Managed Services Heritage firms.
- Translate incubated, strategic relationships into structured, scalable GTM plays for regional partner sales teams.
- Orchestrate high-impact "Power of 3" motions, aligning Anaplan, Cloud/Data partners, and SIs to build comprehensive solutions.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Regional Theater Leaders to ensure global alignment and maximum throughput of newly incubated motions.
- Design the organizational structure, hire, and grow a world-class strategic partner team.
- Move seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Serve as a high-visibility executive champion for Anaplan's strategic partner growth both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Deep experience working with ISVs, Data Cloud/AI platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), and/or Cloud Service Providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a must.
- Proven track record of translating newly formed, incubated partner relationships into active, revenue-generating GTM motions.
- Extensive experience building, leading, and mentoring high-performing teams, with clear accountability for strategy execution and performance management.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence C-suite executives both internally and within partner organizations.
- Ability to understand complex SaaS architectures, API/data integrations, and platform playbooks to credibly build joint solutions.
- Strong familiarity with global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and experience building tripartite ("Power of 3") partner plays.
- 10+ years in channel, partner, or business development leadership, with a strong background in hyper-growth SaaS environments.
