About the Role
Flix is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to manage and strengthen relationships with bus operator partners, identify optimization and expansion opportunities, and source new partners. This role supports the Business Development team's day-to-day operations and contributes to Flix's mission of making travel accessible, sustainable, and affordable.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new partnerships with intercity bus operators and other relevant stakeholders to expand Flix's presence in the US East region.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual growth and profitability.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, informing strategic decisions.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Network Planning, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
- Develop processes and coordinate a variety of projects, ensuring fluid interdepartmental interactions and timely delivery of results.
- Analyze and optimize partner performance using data-driven insights, collaborating with internal teams to adjust network strategy and maximize profitability.
- Serve as a Flix ambassador at industry events, conferences, and meetings, enhancing brand visibility and credibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an externally facing role (business development, sales, account management, or strategic roles, preferably with experience prospecting).
- Full of ambition, not afraid of rapid change, and able to deal with ambiguity.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Capable of building strong relationships with various types of companies and stakeholders.
