About the Role

Resorts World New York City strives to provide our guests with world-class gaming, exquisite dining, and unique entertainment experiences. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and dedicated team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Properly stock and maintain outlet side stations with necessary supplies.
  • Clear and set tables in designated stations.
  • Familiarize with service standards, including table setups, beverage service, and pre-busing.
  • Clean and reset tables according to established procedures and sanitation guidelines.
  • Stock service stations with glasses, cups, silverware, etc.
  • Clean restaurant areas, including floors, carpet, and service stations.
  • Monitor and ensure the cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats, and floors.
  • Perform customer service duties such as beverage and plate service.
  • Communicate with hosts/hostesses regarding seating needs and guest service issues.
  • Perform stock supply duties to maintain par levels of equipment and dining supplies.
  • Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government rules and regulations.
  • Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
  • Promote positive public and employee relations.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to applicable statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from team members or guests.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate physical ability required.
  • Ability to lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Ability to perform prolonged sitting during the shift.
