About the Role

The Food Runner is responsible for expediting the food serving process by running food orders, assisting wait staff, and expediting the kitchen line when needed. This role ensures a smooth and efficient operation by delivering food orders accurately and maintaining restaurant service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders to guests.
  • Present proper food items by seat position according to the ticket.
  • Carry an oval tray with hot and cold food items.
  • Expedite the kitchen line in the absence of the Expo.
  • Provide excellent service to guests.
  • Maintain restaurant service standards.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Communicate with the kitchen to ensure correct order fulfillment.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of every order.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
  • Must obtain a Tips Certification.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifteen (15) pounds.
  • Prolonged standing during the shift.
  • Handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
  • Able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
