About the Role
As the Head of Communications at Faculty, you will lead our global external narrative and shape the story of a premier applied AI company entering a phase of rapid expansion. You will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, including our CEO, while managing high-stakes media relations, executive positioning, and corporate communications. Operating dynamically across both scale-up environments and complex matrixed networks, you will drive integrated communication strategies that elevate our brand, advance our commercial goals, and anchor our reputation in the safe, widespread adoption of AI.
Responsibilities
- Co-owning the overarching communications strategy and defining the external voice of Faculty to ensure a unique, thought-provoking, and news-generating market presence.
- Partnering deeply with the co-founder and CEO to thoughtfully advise on executive communications and position them as a leading global voice on AI.
- Scaling the external communications programme comprehensively across media relations, executive profiles, client communications, and crisis management.
- Building a robust network of key relationships across internal teams and partner organisations to deeply understand how AI impacts our industries and customers.
- Translating complex technical AI developments and operational breakthroughs into highly accessible, impactful narratives for diverse global audiences.
- Collaborating closely with marketing and international growth leaders to design, coordinate, and execute highly integrated brand strategies.
Requirements
- Over a decade of experience leading external, executive, and strategic communications for a prominent technology brand or within a premier PR firm.
- Deep understanding of the global AI discourse and a proven ability to craft, evolve, and deliver compelling corporate narratives.
- Excels at working hand-in-glove with C-suite leaders and founders, quickly earning trust through sound judgment, integrity, and a strong bias for delivery.
- Parsimonious communication style, backed by exceptional writing skills to precisely draft everything from executive keynotes to corporate narratives.
- Collaborative leadership mindset, with a track record of mentoring highly capable teams and driving alignment across complex, cross-functional disciplines.
- Comfortable navigating the modern media mix, displaying equal confidence placing spokespeople across emerging platforms as traditional media.
