About the Role

MOVE Coaches are responsible for delivering exceptional fitness programming for youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through adaptive and progressive workouts. This role plays an important part in the continued development of a national program, providing input and recommendations. GLKF will provide training on supporting youth with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an exceptional fitness program for youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through coaching, instruction and facilitation.
  • Collaborate with other MOVE Coaches and Supervisors to discover best practices.
  • Create and develop workout plans that meet programming guidelines of MOVE by GoodLife Kids.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MOVE Participants and Community Partners.
  • Respond to MOVE Participants and Caregiver feedback and concerns.
  • Primarily lead in-person classes with the opportunity to be involved with virtual programming.
  • Represent GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with youth with disabilities.
  • Experience delivering fitness classes.
  • Able to deliver in-person classes.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a current nationally recognized Group Fitness /Coaching certification such as Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS).
  • Must have a current CPR-A certification.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with Participants and MOVE Community Partners.
  • Access to reliable internet connection that supports uninterrupted video conferencing.

Salary/Compensations

  • $35.00 per class hour
  • $17.60 per administration hour
  • Expected annual total compensation: $5,700
