About the Role
Lead an elite data science team as a player-coach while designing and deploying business-critical ML systems for AI search recommendations. You will own the full ML lifecycle, architect scalable systems, and translate deep technical insights into competitive product advantages.
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data science team
- Communicate complex technical concepts to executives, customers, and partners
- Design, train, deploy, and maintain models for AI search recommendations
- Develop novel algorithms to reverse-engineer AI search and LLM behavior
- Manage the full ML lifecycle from research to production monitoring
- Architect and evolve scalable data pipelines and ML infrastructure
- Write and review production-grade code to set organizational standards
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional data science experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role at a high-growth startup or FAANG company
- Proven history of scaling ML systems from research to production
- Deep understanding of LLMs and AI search systems
- Experience with cloud-native environments, preferably GCP
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and set technical direction
