About the Role
As a Junior Planner, you will work collaboratively with a Senior Planner, supporting with construction sequencing, programme updates and short-term planning, receiving structured training and mentoring throughout your development. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their career who is eager to learn, develop and build a long-term future in construction planning. Responsibilities
- Awareness of construction sequencing (MEP, finishes)
- Understanding the purpose of master programmes and look-ahead schedules
- Assisting with weekly/monthly progress updates
- Recording actual start/finish dates and % complete
- Supporting 4-week look-ahead programmes
- Helping identify upcoming constraints and clashes
- Updating trackers, progress logs, and simple reports
- Understanding drawings, schedules, and site documentation
- Linking planning activities to latest information
- Shadowing Site Managers and Engineers to gather progress information
- Attending site meetings and planning updates
- Collecting programme inputs from trades under supervision
- Recording constraints such as access, materials, or approvals
- Basic understanding of construction H&S requirements
- Awareness of inspections, permits, and key safety milestones
- Following site rules and procedures at all times

- Asta Powerproject or MS Project (basic task updates, not full build)
