About the Role
This role turns analysis into pricing strategy, developing competitive benchmarks, packaging and segmentation analysis, and scenario work to inform pricing across various models. It requires an analytical approach with a strategic orientation, framing options and making recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop competitive pricing benchmarks and translate them into clear positioning and pricing recommendations.
- Build analysis for renewal and uplift strategy, testing data-driven logic.
- Produce packaging and segmentation analysis to inform offer structuring and pricing.
- Model the commercial impact of the AI platform transition on services revenue and frame strategic options.
- Support the design of the pricing governance framework by analyzing discounting patterns, exceptions, and approval thresholds.
- Translate pricing performance data into insights for commercial decisions.
- Translate pricing and commercial data into strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Act as an analytical partner on non-standard and strategic deals, framing options and trade-offs.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analysis for pricing decisions.
- Maintain the competitive intelligence picture across key industry players.
- Work with Pricing Operations to ensure recommendations are grounded in their maintained data.
- Help shape the commercial narrative for the SaaS and AI transition.
Requirements
- Strong commercial analysis skills paired with the judgment to turn analysis into strategic recommendations.
- Five to eight years in pricing, commercial analytics, commercial strategy, or RevOps within enterprise B2B software, including SaaS or subscription environments.
- Track record of producing analysis that has shaped pricing or commercial decisions.
- Confidence framing options and recommendations for senior stakeholders, supported by defensible analysis.
- Experience with complex enterprise deals (£/$500K+ ARR) involving multi-product, multi-year structures.
- Strong analytical fluency, including scenario and sensitivity modeling, competitive benchmarking, and segmentation analysis.
- Fluent across core strategy tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tooling such as Claude Cowork to accelerate analysis, benchmarking, and synthesis of recommendations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to make a commercial case land with non-analyst audiences.
- Candidates from pricing or commercial strategy roles in software businesses moving from license to SaaS are welcome.
- SaaS pricing or commercial analytics professionals experienced in enterprise and consumption-based models are welcome.
- Commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy backgrounds with hands-on pricing or commercial analysis experience are welcome.
