About the Role
This role focuses on analysing and translating data between legacy and future-state systems, rather than reporting or dashboarding. You’ll work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, ensuring data is accurate, aligned, and fit for purpose throughout the transition.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and compare current-state and future-state data.
- Map data between legacy and target systems.
- Identify gaps, risks, and data quality issues.
- Validate future-state data against business and regulatory needs.
- Work closely with business, data engineering, and architecture teams.
- Document data mappings, transformations, and findings.
- Support testing during system migration and decommissioning.
Requirements
- Strong background as a Data Analyst in complex data environments.
- Advanced SQL skills (including translating logic from tools such as SAS).
- Experience with legacy system migration or SAS decommissioning.
- Proven data mapping and gap analysis experience.
- Financial services background (insurance preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and clear communication.
