About the Role

This position involves performing research, design, and software development assignments within a specific functional area. The role focuses on solving problems, designing program flow, effective coding, and unit testing to support an innovative peer review system.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system.
• Contribute to architectural discussions to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team including engineering, product, QA, and DevOps.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL with a willingness to learn others.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with modern IDEs like IntelliJ or VSCode and their refactoring tools.
• Experience with test-driven development and mocking libraries like Jest or Mockito.
• Familiarity with collaborative documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Agile practices and execution including Scrum and Kanban.
• Interest in or experience with AI-based solutions.
• Eagerness to learn and grow professional skills.
