About the Role
The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for delivering and maintaining the brand image across stores, in line with company guidelines. This role serves as the point of reference for the local VM team, leading their day-to-day organization, and collaborating closely with HQ and the central team.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead for the local VM team, managing their organization, schedules and the planning of activities across assigned stores.
- Coordinate the team's work, ensuring priorities and timings agreed with HQ are met.
- Lead the appraisal, development and professional growth of your team, helping each person build on their strengths and potential.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive and results-focused working environment.
- Create window displays and merchandising set-ups in line with brand guidelines, commercial needs and the product available in store.
- Support HQ in delivering the retail strategy through hands-on execution of VM activities (window rotations, re-merchandising, and so on).
- Ensure activities are delivered to the timings planned with the HQ Visual Merchandising Manager.
- Supervise and monitor assigned stores, both on-site and remotely, ensuring brand image standards are upheld.
- Track sales performance to assess the impact of VM activities and help shape the visual merchandising strategy.
- Share structured feedback with HQ on the needs of the retail network.
- Develop in-store training and coach store teams on visual merchandising techniques and principles, ensuring windows and displays are executed to standard.
Requirements
- Solid experience in Visual Merchandising within retail.
- Demonstrable experience leading and coordinating a team — organising, planning, and supporting people's appraisal and development.
- A strong eye for detail and brand aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flair for coaching and training.
- The ability to work to objectives and manage your own timings.
- Willingness to travel to assigned stores.
- A commitment to keeping your technical and professional know-how up to date.
