About the Role

Join JAG as a Casual After School Club Activity Leader, responsible for creating an inclusive and fun atmosphere for children. You will pick up children from school and safely deliver them back to their parents or caregivers, while planning and executing age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more, ensuring they are age-appropriate.
• Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
• Provide refreshments for the children.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation.
• Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
• Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
• Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
• Keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
• Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
• Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
• Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
• Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
• Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
• Inspire team members and children to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

Requirements

• Must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
• Must meet requirements for compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
• Must prepare correct documentation for a DBS check.
• Must be eligible for the hiring process.
