About the Role

Medtronic is seeking a Robotic Startup Specialist to support the introduction of innovative large medical equipment to hospitals across Japan. This role involves ensuring the safe and smooth implementation of new technologies, providing customer training, and collaborating with hospital staff to achieve surgical program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deploying large medical equipment to hospitals nationwide.
  • Providing support for the safe introduction and operation of deployed equipment.
  • Planning and executing surgical programs utilizing large equipment, including preparation, cleaning, and sterilization.
  • Advising and training customers on the proper use of equipment.
  • Collaborating with hospitals to set and achieve goals for robotic surgery expansion and case volume.
  • Meeting with hospital stakeholders to define equipment usage objectives and goals.
  • Coordinating with field service engineers and hospital staff for operating room readiness.
  • Training hospital staff on cleaning and sterilization procedures for necessary instruments.
  • Developing training plans for surgeons and support staff, including scheduling and supporting offsite training.
  • Conducting regular program review meetings with key surgical stakeholders.
  • Observing surgeries during the initial adoption phase to support customer autonomy.
  • Facilitating the transition from laparoscopic to robotic surgery.
  • Promoting robotic surgery to departments not currently performing it.
  • Comparing products with competitors, highlighting features and benefits to increase market share in multi-robot facilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience, including customer negotiation and building relationships through collaboration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a business company.
  • Proactive and creative behavior, actively seeking information on competitors, other industries, and new technologies to implement in daily work.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on challenges, positively engaging in a dynamic environment for business growth.
  • High communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Project management skills, including planning, coordination, communication, influence, relationship building, milestone achievement, problem-solving, and risk management.
  • Ability to guide continuous performance improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (any faculty or department).
