About the Role

Our client, a multi-disciplinary architectural firm, is seeking an accomplished Interior Designer / Senior Interior Designer to lead high-profile interior design projects across the UAE. The role involves delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions, leveraging expertise in BIM and current UAE regulations to ensure exceptional project outcomes and compliance with local standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and 2025 UAE regulatory requirements.
• Create and refine design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that align with client objectives and sustainability standards.
• Utilize BIM tools to develop detailed 3D models, construction drawings, and documentation compliant with ISO 19650 standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders using Common Data Environments (CDEs) to resolve design issues.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, present proposals using VR/AR visualizations, and deliver exceptional service.
• Research and specify sustainable materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet aesthetic goals, budget constraints, and sustainability standards.
• Ensure designs meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance with UAE codes.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Guide and mentor junior designers on BIM workflows, AI-driven design tools, and sustainable practices.
• Liaise with local authorities, attend technical meetings, and secure approvals through digital portals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external parties to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project plans.
• Contribute to BIM activities by developing and implementing digital workflows, enforcing documentation standards, and automating routines.
• Travel to project sites across UAE emirates for physical inspections and surveys.
• Leverage AI-driven tools for generative design and predictive analytics, contributing to the company’s Data Insights initiative.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional interior design experience, with at least 5 years on UAE-based projects.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with experience using project management tools.
• High levels of creativity, imagination, and vision, with a design-thinking approach.
• Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and adherence to ISO 19650 standards.
• Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering engines.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse, completed interior design projects in the UAE, with emphasis on sustainable design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
• Knowledge of industry trends, sustainable materials, and 2025 UAE regulations.
• Proactive in identifying potential project risks and providing solutions.
• Ability to interface with technical and technology teams to integrate digital tools into workflows.
• Valid UAE driving license mandatory for site visits across emirates.
