Responsibilities
- Assists customers with pay-at-the-pump transactions and may help fill vehicles with fuel.
- Operates cash register, performs checkout procedures, provides receipts, and bags merchandise.
- Maintains inventory of fuel, vehicle accessories, and other products.
- Responsible for all funds collected, including cash, checks, debit, and credit slips.
- Maintains proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures.
- May interact with gas station POS vendor to resolve system issues.
- Helps set up displays or promotional materials.
- Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns promptly and professionally.
- Follows company policies for customer check out to increase satisfaction.
- Keeps informed of weekly ads or specials to answer customer questions accurately.
- May distribute special customer coupons.
- Maintains general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
- Disposes of trash properly.
- Remains alert to safety issues, particularly slip and fall hazards and dangers around combustibles.
- Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
- Continuously improves job performance.
- Utilizes all company-provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
- Performs other staff duties as required and may assist in other departments.
