About the Role

The Vice President of Finance and Facilities serves as the Chief Finance Officer, providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction for financial planning, fiscal operations, physical plants, auxiliary enterprises, risk management, and capital construction. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, this role acts as a trusted advisor, fostering a culture of fiscal accountability, consultation, trust, and respect while ensuring all decisions are centered on student success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and strategic direction for college-wide financial planning and fiscal operations
  • Oversee physical plants, auxiliary enterprises, and risk management
  • Manage oversight of capital construction projects
  • Serve on the President’s Cabinet and Leadership Team
  • Provide critical input to the president on key college issues and opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a strong sense of fiscal accountability
  • Foster an atmosphere of consultation, trust, and respect

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative/supervisory experience in a medium to large organization
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial management and accurately forecast financial positioning
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner
  • Proven record of prioritizing and balancing multiple tasks with significant timeline pressures
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Must complete employment references and a driver’s license background check
  • Must consent to Motor Vehicle Records check if driving on college business
