About the Role

Citizens JMP Securities is seeking an experienced Director of Research Publishing to oversee the production, review, supervision, and distribution of equity research. This individual will play a critical leadership role in ensuring research content is high-quality, accurate, professionally presented, timely, and aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full research publishing lifecycle, including editorial review, supervisory oversight, production workflow, and distribution timelines.
  • Oversee the editing, approval, and publication of company reports, industry notes, thematic research, and other client-facing materials.
  • Maintain strong adherence to FINRA regulations, internal policies and risk controls, and supervisory review requirements.
  • Manage important elements of publishing systems, distribution processes, quality standards, and operational best practices.
  • Serve as a key partner to Citizens CM&A platform’s relevant stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, and develop/coach a high-performing publishing team focused on quality, accuracy, responsiveness, timeliness, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Research Publishing (preferably Equity) and Supervisory Analyst functions.
  • Proven experience leading publishing operations, supervisory review processes, or research production teams.
  • Strong understanding of research publishing workflows, regulatory requirements, control frameworks, and risk management.
  • Exceptional qualitative and quantitative skills, including writing, editing, proofreading, and content review skills, with a strong command of high-quality research presentation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-volume workflows with precision, urgency, and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and team management and development capabilities.
  • Hands-on expertise with the BlueMatrix research publishing and distribution platform required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $200,000 to $250,000 per year
