About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Service Coordinator to promote engagement and retention in treatment — helping individuals successfully connect to the next level of care and move forward on their path to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Complete insurance verification and identify payment resources; assess client eligibility for benefits
- Facilitate the medication self-administration process and ensure compliance with protocol required by the assigned department
- Ensure that client medications are available and properly disposed of at the time of discharge in programs without nursing departments, in accordance with department protocol
- Manage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems quickly and efficiently by helping maintain a safe environment and notifying the proper authority as needed
- Answer telephones, sort and distribute mail, and support day-to-day office operations
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as necessary
- Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties
Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external providers, clients, families, and community partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and group settings
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and respond to changing needs
- Ability to identify resources and minimize obstacles to support clients' long-term recovery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
