About the Role

Support people with disability to have the choice, control, and independence to live their best life. Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and accessing the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure client safety, dignity, and person-centred support
  • Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
  • Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping

Requirements

  • Must be able to commit to a variety of client session times (starting from 2 hours in length) between 6am and 8pm within Dee Why and surrounds.
  • Willingness to travel between clients homes is essential.
  • Must clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check.
  • Must obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Skills

  • Previous experience supporting people with disability in a home care and community setting
  • Confidence and experience in manual handling, hoist transfers and providing personal care
  • Previous experience providing HIDPA supports
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care

Salary/Compensations

  • Permanent Part Time hourly rate from $34.58
  • Casual hourly rate from $43.22
