About the Role
An AmLaw 100 firm, renowned for its dominance in private equity and debt finance, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its elite Debt Finance group in New York. This is a prime opportunity for attorneys eager to engage in high-stakes transactions and work alongside industry leaders in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in structuring and negotiating term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and corporate growth initiatives.
- Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions in complex financing transactions.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school with outstanding academic credentials.
- 3–6 years of experience in debt finance, specifically representing private equity sponsors and/or lenders in leveraged finance transactions.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating key financing documents, including commitment letters, credit agreements, and security instruments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Admission to the State Bar of the location you are applying or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
