About the Role

An AmLaw 100 firm, renowned for its dominance in private equity and debt finance, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its elite Debt Finance group in New York. This is a prime opportunity for attorneys eager to engage in high-stakes transactions and work alongside industry leaders in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in structuring and negotiating term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and corporate growth initiatives.
  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions in complex financing transactions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school with outstanding academic credentials.
  • 3–6 years of experience in debt finance, specifically representing private equity sponsors and/or lenders in leveraged finance transactions.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating key financing documents, including commitment letters, credit agreements, and security instruments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Admission to the State Bar of the location you are applying or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
