About the Role

Red Hat Consulting is seeking a Middleware Consultant with experience in JEE and modern application design. This role involves working on projects utilizing Red Hat's middleware products, focusing on DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and cloud environments. You will build practical and achievable Red Hat solutions, understand customer infrastructure and business needs, propose solutions to challenges, and support strategic decisions regarding Red Hat technology adoption. As an Application Development Consultant, you will conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and prototyping based on Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Application Services. You will also assist customers in streamlining enterprise application development and enabling continuous feature releases using cloud-native technologies. This position is ideal for individuals eager to visit customer sites across Japan, actively learn new technologies, gain consulting experience, and deepen their expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for implementation from design to delivery of standard solutions.
  • Contribute to the delivery of specific product areas in standard projects.
  • Contribute to the concretization of architectural design and actively perform tasks in assigned projects.
  • Support project planning and contribute to achieving goals set by the project leader.
  • Play a key role in managing customer expectations.
  • Coordinate project tasks in collaboration with stakeholders when issues arise in the customer environment.
  • Clearly explain the value and benefits of Red Hat's technologies, services, and products to customers.
  • Provide technical support to Red Hat and customer technical resources.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support the introduction of Red Hat products and services in customer environments.
  • Actively contribute to project success.
  • Maintain smooth communication within the team and with customers.
  • Clearly explain technical content to non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver presentations on specialized fields to customers, internal staff, and general audiences.
  • Appropriately convey Red Hat's messages and values in all communications.
  • Actively utilize Red Hat's advanced training content or continuously learn in technical areas related to assigned projects.
  • Continuously grasp updates to Red Hat training and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to continuously improve skills in line with annual technical goals.

Requirements

  • Experience providing technical guidance or taking a leading role in small projects or tasks, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Over 3 years of direct collaboration experience with enterprise stakeholders and architects in various development and deployment projects.
  • Over 5 years of practical experience and expertise in the middleware technology field, including supporting solution architectures, implementing viable solutions, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, object-oriented design, and development policies, including enterprise integration and software design patterns.
  • Knowledge of Container, Spring Boot, and other Java frameworks.
  • Knowledge of DevOps or technologies related to Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Willingness to dedicate up to 100% of your time to visiting customer sites across Japan.
