About the Role

This project focuses on scaling up family planning services across 400-500 public health facilities. The role involves providing technical assistance to the government for capacity building, demand generation, service provision, supportive supervision, data management, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute state-level implementation plans in coordination with State and LGA Reproductive Health and Family Planning Coordinators for DISC and RMNCAEH+H.
  • Provide technical assistance on Family Planning and RMNCAEH+H to State/LGA Health teams, RMNCAEH+N Stakeholders, and Partners.
  • Lead the assessment and selection of health facilities and providers.
  • Conduct supportive supervisory visits and provide on-the-job coaching to LGA RH/FP supervisors to ensure technical competency in SRH and FP services.
  • Maintain quality of care standards in all DISC-supported facilities and outreaches.
  • Ensure improved method continuation among beneficiaries.
  • Actively engage with State RH/RMNCAH TWG and LMCU to promote SFH brand, integration, and product availability in supported facilities and outreach sessions.
  • Support policy engagements to institutionalize SFH positions and solutions into the State RMNCAEH+N response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related health field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC experience supporting women in initiating and continuing family planning, particularly with injectables and other short-term methods.
  • Strong mobilization and promotional skills.
  • Experience in health system strengthening is an advantage.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation is an advantage.
  • Significant knowledge of Family Planning in Nigeria.
  • A flair for women's reproductive health in Nigeria.
  • Good knowledge of critical stakeholders.
  • Report writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Supervisory and mentoring skills.
  • High level of integrity.
