About the Role

This role sits at a critical experience intersection across the F5 and NGINX portfolio, defining how customers discover, operate, extend, and realize value from NGINX-based capabilities. Success requires connecting product strategy across these touchpoints for a unified, intuitive, and outcome-driven customer experience. You will define and drive capabilities for the xOps Services layer of the F5 ADSP platform, shaping how teams operate NGINX at scale, gain visibility, enforce consistency, and reduce operational toil.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the product vision and strategy for xOps capabilities across the NGINX line of business in service of the F5 ADSP platform.
  • Conduct ongoing customer and market research to understand pain points of DevOps, PlatformOps, SecOps, and NetOps teams managing NGINX at scale.
  • Define Market Viable capabilities, write PRDs, and set tactical strategies for NGINX and NGINXaaS offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a clear, outcome-driven product roadmap in collaboration with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define and drive capabilities across key xOps pillars: Policy & Management, Analytics & Insights, Orchestration & Automation, and AI Assistants & Programmability.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to position NGINXOne, NGINXaaS, and related xOps capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and engineering to deliver developer-centric solutions deployable across on-prem, cloud, Kubernetes, and SaaS environments.
  • Ensure alignment with cloud-native ecosystems, including Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, and API gateway workflows.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Director of Product Management, providing data-backed insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and success metrics, iterating strategy based on product and customer data.
  • Clearly communicate product strategy, customer outcomes, and roadmap priorities to diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering successful products with a focus on operational tooling, developer platforms, infrastructure software, or cloud services.
  • Prior experience setting and delivering on a strategy you've crafted, accountable for outcomes end-to-end.
  • Strong track record of delivering global products to a diverse customer base, from SMBs to enterprise-scale organizations.
  • Collaborated with engineers in developing technical architecture, leveraging a solid understanding of networking, application delivery, and application security concepts.
  • Deep familiarity with DevOps workflows and toolchains, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and API gateways.
  • Hands-on familiarity with NGINX or similar technologies (e.g., HAProxy, Envoy, Kong).
  • Experience in the cloud services space, with an understanding of its unique challenges.
  • Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is required, with at least 2–3 years of experience in GCP, AWS, Azure, or OCI.
  • Experience building a core service on one of the major cloud providers is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Operations, web traffic and application infrastructure, and modern web standards and protocols.
  • Strong customer orientation, with the ability to balance user feedback, market insights, competitive dynamics, and business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify market opportunities, build compelling business cases, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
