About the Role
We are seeking a People Operations & Development Manager to design, manage, and enhance our hiring, onboarding, and development processes. This role serves as the operational backbone for talent management, ensuring rigorous, data-driven hiring and clear development paths for all team members.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the WHO hiring process, including scorecard creation, structured interviews, and reference checks.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role outcomes and competencies prior to recruitment.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience.
- Train interviewers on the WHO methodology and enforce scorecard-based decision-making.
- Create and manage end-to-end onboarding workflows, including system access, role-specific plans, and 30/60/90-day milestones.
- Support hiring managers in establishing personal development roadmaps for new hires.
- Monitor onboarding success metrics and optimize ramp-up efficiency.
- Establish a regular cadence for performance reviews, feedback sessions, and growth planning.
- Coach managers on developing, evaluating, and holding teams accountable to performance standards.
- Build and maintain company-wide frameworks for learning and development, competency standards, and career progression.
- Track and report on performance health metrics and engagement indicators.
- Manage HR operations including benefits administration, time-off policies, and employee records.
- Support leadership in sensitive HR processes such as promotions, releases, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain company policy documentation.
- Implement and maintain scalable and automated HR systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or Talent Development roles, preferably in growth-stage companies.
- Deep familiarity with the WHO Hiring Method and scorecard-based hiring.
- Proven experience designing onboarding programs and performance management systems.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence managers and uphold standards.
- Operationally-minded with expertise in creating scalable processes, templates, and systems.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive people matters.
