About the Role

Seeking experienced Defence Cyber Security GRC professionals for permanent opportunities in Sydney to provide Cyber GRC activities supporting classified Defence systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage cyber security governance and frameworks, including ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and Essential Eight (E8) requirements, within the overarching Defence CyberWorthiness System (DCwS).
• Lead Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Framework (CSAAF) processes to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) for Defence systems.
• Engage effectively with Defence stakeholders and decision-makers to support ATO workflows and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain core security artefacts in alignment with CSAAF requirements, including SAP, BIL and E8 assessments, SSP, SSP-A, SRMP, IRP, CMP, SCCG, and POA&M.
• Provide leadership and drives continuous improvement in cyber security governance, policy development, and best practice implementation.
• Provide risk management, encompassing risk identification, mitigation strategies, and reporting within Defence information environments.
• Apply Defence networks and system security, including integration into the Single Information Environment, acceptance into service, and transition to sustainment of Defence capabilities and systems.

Requirements

• Australian citizen with a current or inactive AGSVA clearance (Min NV1 preferred).
• Cyber Security experience in classified Defence or Government environments.
• Strong understanding of the integration and security challenges of OT and ICT networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with both military and civilian stakeholders.
• An ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team.
