About the Role

Responsibilities

• Assist in orienting clients to the program, its goals, rules, and client rights upon admission.
• Ensure insurance authorizations align with dates of treatment and services provided.
• Provide education and information to clients individually and in groups regarding substance use disorders and recovery resources.
• Coordinate case management to match clients with services, agencies, and resources for discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute emotional or physical distress.
• Support individual clients in identifying strengths, weaknesses, problems, and needs for ongoing treatment planning.
• Identify client needs beyond the current service level and assist in referrals to support systems and community resources.
• Meet with a multidisciplinary team to report on client progress and modify treatment plans.
• Formulate clinical interventions to promote stability and ensure client engagement.
• Provide counseling for family or significant others as appropriate.
• Meet all documentation requirements for client progress, referrals, networking, and incident reporting.
• Complete initial client assessments for placement and ongoing assessments for continued treatment or referral.
• Establish treatment plans with clients focusing on goals, objectives, and interventions.
• Utilize counseling skills in individual, group, or family sessions to help clients achieve objectives.
• Chart assessment results, treatment planning, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client data in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Requires Associate License (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A) or Independent License (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC).
• All applicants must undergo a urinalysis drug screen as a condition of employment.

• Counselor III (associate license) - starting $60,000/annually.
• Counselor IV (Independent License) - starting $80,000/annually.
